Handcrafted with vegetable tanned 100% full grain cowhide leather

Paper quality and uses

This leather bound journal comes with 200 120 gsm bleed-resistant hand-sewn sheets.

This paper is ideal for:
• sketching and shading
• ink work with fountain pens or dip pens (for e.g. illustrations, calligraphy, drawing, hatching)
• ink liners and pointers
• markers and brush pens
• charcoals and charcoal pencils
• oil pastels and oil pastel pencils
• chalk pastels and chalk pastel pencils
• watercolor pencils
• light watercolor washes
• mixed media use

Make sure to use an appropriate sealant to avoid smudging.

Leather

We use only the highest quality full grain cowhide leather to make our products. This leather softens quicker than regular leather and has a finish that feels like suede.

Further, this leather will develop a natural patina over the years, making it even more beautiful and uniquely yours.

With proper care, this leather will last over 20 years.

Very nice & old fashioned looking. It made my brother who is an artist very happy when he unwrapped it on Christmas morning, he tells me it's nice paper to draw on too.

Very deep size for a Journal with plenty of pages plus the paper given its tint will not show ageing are immediate attractions in having a new design diary/journal to use in making notes and written memos. Hardy leather cover and unique binding of folio pads only enhance the item.

The binding (several small folios each separately bound to the spine so no splitting between pages will occur) and the horizontal shape (to allow me to write in copy and keep accessible my favourite quotes!) is what makes this such a distinctive notebook/journal for me!
